Why should you let yourself be trained by the 2xSundblad Academy? There are
several good reasons. The founders of the 2xSundblad Academy, Sten and Per Sundblad, have
worked in close cooperation with Microsoft since
1987.
In 2002, Microsoft's Swedish office approached 2xSundblad to suggest a
total remake of the company, changing it into an
institute for the training and certification of
software architects.

The 2xSundblad Academy is an organization
dedicated to the teaching of architectural roles, principles, tasks, and tools
in an environment of business improvement and software development initiatives.
The Academy started small in February 2008 and is gradually building up
offerings of online courses as well as class-room courses in this area.
Online Architecture Training
Our online architecture training courses are based on a curriculum we used in a
classroom-based national training and certification program which we ran
2003-2006 together with Microsoft Sweden, and which was later purchased by
Microsoft Learning in Redmond. The language in these courses is English.
This new curriculum is dramatically enhanced, modernized, and extended. Its
first four courses will be launched over a period of seven to eight months
starting in July 2008. Each course is either about software architecture in
general and service-oriented architecture in particular, how to align software
architecture to business architecture and to business strategy, or about how to
implement systems based on service-oriented architecture. Together they
constitute a blueprint about how to architect and implement the agile and
electronically serviced enterprise.

Certified Software Architect
with special emphasis on Microsoft Technologies
This is a program run in close cooperation with Microsoft Sweden. At this time,
this program is available in Sweden only, and it’s a combination of class-room
and online training. For the class-room parts, the spoken language is Swedish.
For the online parts, and for all the documentation, it’s English.
The program consists of five two-day class-room courses and four online
courses. At the end of the program, attendees are offered a chance to perform a
homework and then to present and defend that homework in front of a panel of
architects.
If successful, the attendee will be certified as a Software Architect with
special emphasis on Microsoft Technologies. The certificate will be signed by
representatives for the 2xSundblad Academy and a representative manager for
Microsoft Sweden.
